Unrealisitc expectations

Relationships are hard. As women, correction, as EMOTIONAL women we tend to create unrealistic expectations when it comes to men and relationships. In defense of women everywhere if Hollywood would halt the production on all romance movies we might actually be able to redeem ourselves and alter our way of thinking about said topic. Additionally, most of the time all a girl really wants is for a guy to know her; REALLY know her. And I don’t mean know how she thinks and know why she does what she does; it is knowing what brand of feminine product she uses or what her favourite flower is. It’s the simple things that work for women. And yet when men ask what we want we have a difficult time communicating exactly what we want. I think this is because in our minds we recall that movie where the male protagonist knew, without asking what his woman wanted so why should we actually have to say it….shouldn’t he just know? Ladies, I am with you, if they just paid a little more attention to us and listened just a little bit closer we can have that relationship, the one on the big screen and we would no longer have to leave the house to experience it. After all, that is what a film is romantic or otherwise; an experience. But real life is not just an experience it is a journey of experiences. So ladies, when your man just doesn’t get it, before going all bat s**t crazy on him, take a deep breath and remember that he is not the hero from the film, he is just a guy asking what you want.
